On October 7th, noon, at the Covenant Presbyterian church the Southwest Pickers had a board meeting and general membership meeting. Our main concern at this meeting was to fill out the board of directors and elect new officers of the board. Many board members were stepping down, having served for many years.
I would like to acknowledge those who have so willingly given their time and effort to maintaining and furthering the purpose of the Southwest Pickers. They are: Dan Houck, Tom Cartledge, Gary Libman, Sheila McKisson, Dave McKisson, and Sherri Johnson. Their efforts over the years have brought stability and recognition to the Southwest Pickers. Thank you all.

.I would like to thank all of these folks for their willingness to step up and offer their time and expertise in our effort to share the music.
This is a non profit organization that is run by volunteers. We have numerous events where volunteers are needed, especially our Santa Fe festival in August. Anyone willing to help can contact me (Steve Morgan) morgans2@mac.com and I will pass along your information.
I look forward to working with the new board of directors. We have good momentum and reputation to build on.
